Summer Health Maintenace Tips(一)

Here are some Summer Health Maintenance tips for you.

  1. Have a foot bath with Ginseng Herbal bath ball before going to bed, soak your feet in the herbal infusion for 15-20 minutes, do this 2-4 times a week.

2. Have some Herbal cuisine consisting of Suan Zao Ren Lotus Seeds Tea

Recipe ingredients: Dried Lotus seeds 1/2 cup, Suan Zao Ren 10g, Rock Sugar(to taste), water 800ml;

Process: Soak the Lotus seeds for 20 minutes, put Suan Zao Ren in a filter bag, then add water bring it to a boil, then simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. Add your desired amount of sugar.

Efficacy: Suan Zao Ren has a calming effect, suitable for people who suffer from insomnia and emotional irritability. Lotus seeds are rich in tryptophan, which helps to stabilize the mood. So this tea has a curative effect on neurasthenia, palpitations, irritability, and insomnia.


3. Da Zao Bo Zi Ren Millet Congee

Recipe ingredients: Da Zao 10pcs, Bo Zhi Ren15g, millet 100g, sugar.

Process: Rinse all the ingredients. Add 2 cups of water bring to a rolling boil, then simmer it until a thick watery consistency. Serve with a little bit of sugar (optional).

Efficacy: This congee has the effect of nourishing the heart and calming the spirit, it can improve insomnia and palpitations.

4. Bitter melon & kelp soup

Recipe ingredients: Bitter melon 150g, kelp 100g, lean pork 200g, salt.

Process:1. Cut bitter melon in half, clean the seeds, and slice into big chunks. 2. Soak the kelp for an hour, rinse it well, and slice it into small pieces. 3. Rinse the pork and chop it into big chunks. 4. Add 2 cups of water with all the ingredients in the instant pot, choose Soup or Meat Stew setting, cook about an hour. Serve with a small amount of salt and black pepper.
